Maggie DeTorre is the deceased mother of Shane DeTorre and wife of Frank DeTorre who died and sadly passed away before the making of Osmosis Jones and before the accident at the science fair.

Maggie is first mentioned in the beginning in the movie where Frank talks about his wife to his daughter, Shane DeTorre, claiming in his words, Maggie did not believe in nursing or breast-feeding after giving birth to Shane.

- Its unknown what Mrs. DeTorre's first name is, but at the hospital, we hear Frank murmur "Maggie!"
- A fan theory is that Mrs. DeTorre died by contracting anthrax, implying that Thrax was responsible for her death. Shane and Frank have different opinions about whether Frank is to blame for her untimely demise.
- Even though Mrs. DeTorre doesn't appear in the movie, she is mentioned four times by Frank, Shane, and Mrs. Boyd, but we see her in Frank's brain when Shane was in the bathtub.
